The number of Muslim tourists in Japan is increasing every year. However, with the growing number of Muslim visitors, tourism organizations and businesses have accelerated efforts to improve the situation to better respond to Muslim tourists. Halal or Muslim friendly restaurants are only found in the major airports and some major leading hotels. Non-Japanese restaurants from Bangladesh, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Iranian, Malaysian, Moroccan, Pakistani and Turkish as well as some vegetarian restaurants can also have halal dishes. In this context, the Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak gave a speech at the round table of the World Islamic Economic Forum (ND) Foundation and the Allianz Forum Foundation (AFF) in Tokyo. Razak has signed an agreement with the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's cooperation in areas such as food halal industry and Islamic finance.
